Electronic Business Application
For example, project teams can utilize videoconferencing tools like Zoom or Microsoft Teams to hold virtual meetings, regardless of location. Platforms like Slack or Trello facilitate instant updates, document sharing, and feedback among team members. These tools not only improve communication but also streamline collaboration, enabling faster decision-making and more effective project execution.
Electronic commerce (E-commerce) applications are crucial for businesses in facilitating the buying and selling of products, services, and information over the Internet and extranets. E-commerce websites support business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions, enhancing sales and customer engagement. Companies like Amazon and Alibaba use sophisticated E-commerce platforms to manage vast inventories, process orders, and provide customer support. Extranets allow large customers to access company inventory databases, improving transparency and order accuracy, while corporate intranets enable employees to efficiently retrieve customer records.
Internal business applications support a company’s internal processes and operations, improving overall efficiency. Employees can access benefits information via an intranet enterprise information portal hosted on a human resource department server. Additionally, companies can link their intranets to the Internet, allowing managers to make inquiries, generate reports, and access corporate databases from anywhere globally. This connectivity ensures that critical business operations can be managed remotely, enhancing flexibility and responsiveness in today’s fast-paced business environment.
In summary, e-business applications are essential to modern business operations, providing robust solutions for communication, collaboration, commerce, and internal processes. By leveraging these technologies, businesses can achieve greater efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness in the digital age.

Microsoft PowerPoint application
Microsoft PowerPoint is an electronic presentation program that helps people present a speech using a collection of slides. A PowerPoint presentation is a collection of slides that can be used to create oral presentations.
It is a commercial presentation application written and distributed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. PowerPoint presentation is a good way to convey pieces of information, usually in the form of an outline, to a large audience.
Generally, PowerPoint presentations are appealing to users because they are easy to create and edit and generally small enough to fit onto a CD or a USB Jump Drive. Therefore, a user does not have to carry around any slides or slide projector, and, if necessary, can make any last-minute changes to the presentation.
Presentations can be printed, displayed live on a computer, or navigated through at the command of the presenter. For larger audiences, the presentation is often projected onto a large screen. Handouts, speaker notes, or outlines can also be produced from the slides.

Geospatial metadata
Geospatial metadata provides information which allows resources to be discovered by interested parties searching for resources, evaluate, accessed and understood, enabling proper utilization.
Metadata allowed organizations to better manage their investments in geospatial data and provide information to online catalogs and clearinghouse.
With the continuous development of GIS (Geographic Information System), information technology and other related technologies, geospatial data increasingly being applied to people daily life. Geospatial metadata will typically be stored in an XML, TXT or HTML file with same filename as the associated dataset.

The good about application suites
Purchasing an application software suite is usually much less expensive than purchasing each application in the suite separately.
Application suites provide ease of use because the programs in the suite normally use a similar interface and share features such as clip art and spelling checker.
Because all the applications in a suite are produced by the same software publisher, they tend to have similar user interface and provide an easy way to transport data from one application to another.
Using a application suite has a number of advantages, the software has been design to work similarly, so that once the user learn the basics for one application, the other applications are easier to learn and use.
The user also can easily share data between applications in the suite.
The disadvantages of application suites are that it might include applications that do not need by the user.

System and Application Software
System Software
System software consists of programs that are used to control and operate the computer hardware.
There are three components in system software: operating system, utility programs and language processors.
The operating system tells the computer how to perform functions such as how to load, store and execute programs, how to transfer data between input/output devices and to manage resources available (CPU).
The operating system must be loaded in the main memory before the computer can function.
Other application software can then be loaded into the computer with the help of the operating system.

Intranet Applications in Business Organizations
Intranet Applications in Business OrganizationsAn intranet is a network inside an organization that uses internet technologies (such as Web browsers and servers, TCP/IP network protocols, HTML hypermedia document publishing and databases, and so on) to provide an Internet like environment within the enterprise for information sharing, communications, collaboration, and the support business processes. An intranet is protected by security measures such as passwords, encryption, and fire walls, and thus can be accessed by authorized users through internet. A company’s intranet can also be accessed through the intranets of customers, suppliers and other business partners via extranet links.
Organizations of all kinds are implementing a broad range of intranets uses. One way that companies organize intranet applications is to group them conceptually into a few user services categories that reflect the basic services that intranets offer to their users. These services are provided by the intranet’s portal, browser, and server software, as well as by other system and application software and groupware that are part of a company’s intranet software environment.Intranet Applications in Business Organizations
