In the emerging economy there is a new infrastructure, based on the internet, that is causing us to scrutinies most of our assumptions about the business. As a skin of networks - growing in ubiquity, robustness, bandwidth, and function - covers the skin of the planet, new models of how wealth is created are emerging.

Geographic Information System

Geographic information Systems or geographical information system (GIS) are a special class of information systems that keep track not only of events, activities and things but also of where these events, activities and things happen or exist.

GIS is a computerized mapping system designed to capture, storage, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of spatial or geographical data on a computer screen.

Before GIS, researchers used films and mylars ot manually overlay spatial information. The integration of spatial information with non-spatial attributes (variable) is a critical component of GIS.

Geographic information technologies are now in common usage in high-income nations for amassing detailed information that has a stationary location in common. They are also being used for the corollary of tracking mobile individuals or objects over space and time.

GIS and related technologies are becoming more available to many users in different disciplines through the World Wide Web.

What is artificial intelligence?

Intelligence is an ability to deal with new situations; the ability to solve problems, to answer questions, to devise plans, to acquire understand and apply knowledge and to analyze and reason.

Intelligence also can be defined as a state of grasping the truth, involving reason, concerned with action about what us good or bad for human being.

Artificial intelligence is one of the most interesting and active areas of computer science. It is the study of systems that act in a way that to any observer it would appear to be intelligent. In many cases, artificial intelligence are used to solve relatively simple problems or complex problems that are internal to more complex systems.

Artificial intelligence involves using methods based on the intelligent behaviors of humans and other animals to solve complex problems.

Many useful systems have been built using artificial intelligence technologies:
*Fuzzy logic
*Expert system
*Neural network
*Machine vision
*Optical character recognition
*Handwriting recognition
*Speech recognition
*Computer algebra system
*Computer vision systems
*Games
*Understanding natural language
*Robotic
*E-commerce
*Automatic negotiation
